Unplanned Outage: Telstra Mobile Network

Who is Affected: All JCU Staff & Students using the Telstra Mobile phone network.
Service Affected:  Telstra Mobile Phone Network
When: 2nd February 2017 – 12:30pm AEST

STATUS: Unplanned Outage

Description: At approximately 12:30pm 2/2/17 it was noticed that phone calls using the Telstra Mobile phone network were having problems receiving calls & making outgoing calls.

What do I need to do? A suggested workaround is to use land lines when making calls for the time being. JCU support has determined the problem to be within the Telstra network and outside JCU’s control. Updates will be posted when new information comes to light. Please monitor Central Computing Bulletins for further updates. If you are still experiencing issues and require further assistance, please contact the IT Help Desk  at start of next business day.
