Planned Outage: Network Services D Precinct Cairns - Update



Who is Affected: All JCU staff and students in the D Precinct Cairns Campus
Service Affected:  Network Services – D Precinct Cairns
When: Friday 5th August - 5:00am AEST
ETA: Friday 5th August – 7:00am AEST

STATUS: Completed

Description:  On Friday 5th August between 5am and 7am,  ICT networking performed maintenance on equipment providing network services (phones and internet) to the Cairns - D precinct.  During the outage, network services were unavailable in all D precinct buildings. This work was required to complete the network redesign started during the Major Maintenance weekend in July, work in D precinct had to be rescheduled, due to classes and training in the JCU Dental Clinic.

What do I need to do?  This work was carried out successfully and all network services restored to the D precinct.  ICT apologises for any inconvenience, please contact the IT Help Desk  if you are still experiencing issues and require further assistance.
