Resolved: Secure Printing – new Staff and Student ID cards only



Who is Affected: All JCU staff and students
Service Affected:  Secure Printing – new Staff and Student ID cards only
When: 27th January 2016 – 10:30pm AEST
ETA: 1st February 2016 – 3:00pm AEST

Description: Staff and Students who have been issued with a new IDCard since start of business Thursday 28th January will not be able to use this card to swipe and release a print job on any JCU printer.  A problem occurred during an upgrade to the print accounting system, affecting swipe card access to the printers.  Xerox has now solved the issue and has successfully upgraded the print accounting system. All printing services should be back online.

What do I need to do? 
Please contact the IT Help Desk if you are still experiencing issues printing and require further assistance.
