Unplanned Outage - Issue affecting external calls to and from Townsville and Cairns Campuses



Who is Affected: Townsville and Cairns Campuses
Service Affected:  External phone communications and EFTPOS machines
When: 6th August 2015 – 5:20pm AEST
ETA: Unknown

Description: Phone Calls to and from both Townsville and Cairns campuses to external parties do not connect. Whilst this is occurring, internal calls will still work, but EFTPOS machines will probably fail. Restore work was carried out last night and the platform restored but a further problem has developed overnight and is being worked on now. This is at priority 1 as it is affecting a significant number of customers nationally but at this stage no time to resolution is available. The next update will be at 12pm today.

What do I need to do? Staff can use mobile phones to connect to external landlines or other mobile phone numbers. Please continue to monitor Central Computing Bulletins for further updates.
