Restored - All Off Campus Network Services

Who is Affected: All JCU Staff and Students Australia wide
Service Affected:  All off campus network services
When: 11th June, 2015 – 11:30am AEST
Restored: 12th June, 2015 – 8:30am AEST

Description: AARNet services have now been restored. Two separate incidences occurred in close succession, a main router failed and a fibre cut both occurred in NSW. The router has been repaired and a temporary joint has been added to the fibre. All services should now be back to normal.

What do I need to do? ICT apologises for any inconvenience that this matter may have caused and if you are still experiencing network related problems then please contact the IT Help Desk for further assistance.
