Available to graduate students with a degree in Veterinary Science or Agricultural
Science (or equivalent).
A review of current trends in reproductive physiology and biology of domestic animals
used for food and fibre production with emphasis on tropical conditions. Consideration
is also given to management procedures to achieve optimal reproductive rates.
Learning Outcomes
- apply knowledge of reproductive physiology and biology to genetic improvement of farm
animals with emphasis on tropical environments;
- critically evaluate experimental data and theories in reproductive physiology and
biology;
- gain experience in assessment of scientific papers, writing reports and verbal presentations;
- understand contemporary developments in reproductive physiology and biology.
