Available to Master of Philosophy students only.
This subject will demonstrate the research higher degree candidate's capacity to undertake
a degree at the required level by demonstrating: (1) mastery of a substantial body
of knowledge in the field of research including substantial knowledge of the principles
and methods, (2) the cognitive skills to demonstrate expert understanding of the associated
theoretical knowledge, and to reflect critically on the theory and practice of the
field of research, and (3) the communication skills to explain and critique theoretical
propositions, methodologies and conclusions and present cogently a complex investigation
to peers and the wider academic community. The Advisory Panel will assist the candidate
to complete to substantive written work the satisfaction of their Candidature Committee.
