This subject introduces research in the field of creative arts, including theoretical and practice-based approaches, methodologies and ethics, within the context of case studies and projects. Students will design and pursue a research project and that will enable them to develop in-depth insights into an area of interest.

Learning Outcomes

  • identify and describe research approaches, methodologies and ethics in creative arts practice;
  • categorise and apply research approaches, methodologies and ethics within creative arts practice;
  • deconstruct appropriate research approaches, methodologies and ethics within creative arts.

Subject Assessment

  • presentations (30%)
  • multidraft Essays (30%)
  • assignments (40%).
Prerequisites: 12 CREDIT POINTS OF LEVEL 1 SUBJECTS
