This course builds upon human resource management foundation concepts and utilizes
HRIS and analytics for more effective decision making. Managers will learn to align
HR metrics to attain organisational goals and objectives. Topics include data analysis
and interpretation, balanced scorecards, forecasting and projections, quantitative
analysis including calculating HR ratios and returns, HR metrics and benchmarking,
and evaluating HRIS to meet organisational needs.
Learning Outcomes
- develop and apply HR metrics and balanced scorecards using organisational data and
HRIS (record, maintain, retrieve, analyse) databases for benchmarking, goal-setting
and planning to support strategic decision making;
- evaluate and make recommendations on the appropriate HRIS to meet organisational human
resource management needs and personnel decisions;
- analyse and interpret trends and indicators using statistical methods for making forecasts
and projections.
