LB5233 - Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Credit points: 3
Year: 2023
Student Contribution Band: Band 4
Administered by: College of Business, Law & Governance

This subject explores the concept that for innovation to be successful in the modern world organisations need to be environmentally, socially and economically sustainable. It also links the firm's innovation process with the overall strategy of the business. Many organisations seem to behave in the market as if they have 'no choice'. Organisations react to competitive business pressures rather than explore creative ways to move their organisations forward. In this subject, we also explore why creativity has been suppressed from management activities and come to understand that it is acceptable to be a 'little different' with our thinking.
