This subject introduces the basics of systems engineering which is concerned with solving complex problems in a rigorous and methodical fashion. It involves both the technical and processes to help improve the chances of arriving at a solution that solves the original problem.

Learning Outcomes

  • apply systems engineering methodologies;
  • apply requirements traceability through a design process;
  • explain requirements determination and develop functional and technical requirements to describe the problem;
  • determine appropriate requirements verification methods.
