This subject examines the professional values and ethics that underpin social work
and social welfare practice to enhance critically reflective, ethical decision making
in complex professional contexts
Learning Outcomes
- explain and critically analyse ethical theory and alternative philosophical perspectives
on the nature of ethics;
- critically reflect on and evaluate actions and outcomes of ethical decision-making;
- propose professional solutions to complex value conflicts and ethical dilemmas through
the critical analysis and application of ethical decision making frameworks and principles.
