This subject supports students in developing knowledge and skills in the conceptualisation, design, and planning of a research project. Students will consolidate their skills as critical consumers of research literature through searching and appraising relevant literature regarding a contemporary speech pathology issue. Students will then use the findings as a foundation on which to design and develop a research project, and construct and defend a research proposal. Students will be required to demonstrate skills in independence, leadership, planning, and critical reflection.
Passing requirements: complete and submit all assessment items; achieve a cumulative score of at least 50% after the application of any penalties such as late penalties; pass every assessment item.
