Enrolment may only be approved by the subject coordinator. Please contact directly to discuss eligibility and enrolment conditions. This subject is designed to integrate knowledge and skills developed throughout the degree in a practical workplace setting. Students undertake a professional placement in a relevant, approved industry workplace (minimum 140 hours) and through a number of tasks reflect upon personal and professional growth and evaluate the theory/practice nexus.

Learning Outcomes

  • apply discipline specific knowledge, technical capabilities and skills developed throughout the degree in a practical workplace environment;
  • demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills to address relevant issues / problems;
  • professionally communicate, in both written and oral forms;
  • work effectively in a collaborative environment to achieve a shared goal;
  • critically reflect on current skills, knowledge and attitudes to develop and manage professional learning and employability performance.

  • Written > Essay (including multi-draft) 1 - (20%) - Individual
  • Exit interview - (10%) - Individual
  • Written > Proposal - (10%) - Individual
  • Written > Reflection/reflective task 1 - (60%) - Individual.
