PY6401 - Clinical Psychology Masters Research Proposal

This is the first of three research subjects within the Masters of Psychology (Clinical) program. In this subject, students will explore human research integrity issues and research methods. Students will develop, with guidance from their research project supervisor, their Masters thesis research proposal.

Learning Outcomes

  • apply mastery knowledge of research principles, methods, and ethics to plan a substantial piece of research that addresses a complex theoretical or professional practice issue in clinical psychology, mostly independently;
  • expertly communicate the proposed research using advanced written, presentation and oral communication skills;
  • differentiate human research integrity issues.

  • Ethics modules (Ethics Module 1 pre-census assessment - must pass hurdle) - (%) - Individual

Special Assessment Requirements

Pass requirements: pass every assessment item; participate in all scheduled workshops/seminars; achieve a cumulative score of at least 50% after the application of any penalties such as late penalties.
