This is the first placement subject within the postgraduate clinical psychology curriculum
at JCU. In this clinical placement subject, students will participate in class activities
designed to enable them to practice the application of clinical knowledge and skills
to clinical contexts, prior to undertaking placement. The placement will include at
least 300 hr of practice, with ongoing guidance provided by supervisors as students
demonstrate application of clinical and professional skills to provide effective,
evidenced-based assessment and interventions for clients. Students will participate
in feedback processes to develop their ongoing learning plans and self-reflexive practice,
and will participate in supervised case consultations.

and other health professionals;
- application of clinical and professional skills to provide effective and culturally
responsive, evidence-based assessments and interventions for clients of varying context.
