This subject forms the practical placement for the Doctor of Psychology course. The placement provides students with the opportunity to refine and develop their skills in association with a skilled field supervisor. It also includes attendance at clinic and professional seminars.

Learning Outcomes

  • exposure to different approaches to problems, therapy and work environments to aid professional development and adaptability to future work situations;
  • work in a variety of practical settings to develop applied clinical skills and work practices and become familiar with professional networks within which psychologists are required to operate.

Special Assessment Requirements

Passing requirements: achieve satisfactory grade for placement and portfolio.
