In this subject students will develop knowledge and skills to be adaptive, flexible, and culturally responsive in professional practice. Students will apply legal, ethical and professional frameworks to inform professional practice for diverse populations. Students will develop and critically reflect on their professional practice skills, including leadership, inclusivity, and inter-professional practice.

Learning Outcomes

  • Consult and collaborate within teams to critically review cases across diverse cultural settings;
  • Apply legal, ethical, and professional frameworks to inform interprofessional and culturally-responsive practice;
  • Reflect critically and respectfully on the practice of one's self and others working within the interprofessional health care team to develop quality practice, and to plan ongoing professional learning.

  • Written > Learning plan - (30%) - Individual
  • Written > Reflection/reflective task 1 - (%) - Individual
  • Written > Reflection/reflective task 2 - (35%) - Individual.

Special Assessment Requirements

Pass requirements: pass every assessment item; attend all scheduled classes; achieve a cumulative score of at least 50% after the application of any penalties such as late penalties.
