The student is required to work independently with academic supervision and follow a standard research cycle to complete the project in their usual work environment. The main components of the cycle would be the identification of a suitable subject area (to be confirmed with the supervisor), establishment of aims and objectives and literature review and then if appropriate, development of an appropriate methodology, implementation of project and collection of data, data analysis, write-up of project for publication and final submission.
