Available to students who have been awarded a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent
within 5 years of proposed enrolment.
This subject is the first of two subjects (the other being PC4502) that in combination
constitute the full-year Honours subject in the Discipline of Pharmacy. The subject
consists of research undertaken for preparation of a thesis and seminars which accompany
the research process. Students will be able to choose a research project from the
pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice offered in the Discipline.
All projects are subject to approval by the honours coordinator of the Pharmacy Discipline.
Learning Outcomes
- To enable students to analyse data, apply and use appropriate methods and critically
evaluate results;
- To develop the skills required to carry out a literature search and to critically
evaluate the literature;
- To develop the skills necessary to formulate a research question and project plan.
