Mixed attendance availabilities are restricted to students admitted to 78110E - Bachelor
of Nursing Science [External].
Students in this subject are introduced to concepts of pathophysiology, pharmacokinetics
and pharmacodynamics. Students progress from their understanding of wellness to examine
concepts of disease and further develop their skills in health assessment in respect
of identified body systems; respiratory, cardiovascular, renal and musculoskeletal.
Application of knowledge and skills in this subject maintains a focus on person-centred
care and the NMBA Registered Nurse standards for practice (2016).
Pass requirements: complete and submit all assessment items; participate in at least
80% of scheduled tutorial classes/specified online content and all scheduled clinical
skills classes; achieve a cumulative score of at least 50% after the application of
any penalties such as late penalties; achieve satisfactory grade for clinical calculation
quiz, examination, clinical skills peer assessment, portfolio task and PEP. Exams
may be scheduled outside regular university exam period.
