This subject will inform students of the critical role that music plays in contemporary
aural and visual media cultures including the web, radio, film and television. Key
aspects relevant to production and reception are examined in the context of local,
national and global environments. Relationships between sound and media outputs are
explored in both mainstream and alternative settings.
