This module has been developed specifically for allied health professionals in the following professions; Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech Pathology.
This module explores child development within the domains of physical, cognitive, psychosocial and communicative development. Participants will be guided to review current child services in their local area, identify child assessments, and develop an evidence-based intervention plan for a child client, utilising effective communication within an interprofessional team.
|Prerequisites:||Participants are responsible for ensuring they are practicing in accordance with the regulatory instruments of their specific allied health profession, within their own personal scope of practice and experience level and in accordance with the policies of their employer. This module requires access to a paediatric patient or consumer population, so as to demonstrate achievement of module outcomes in the appropriate clinical context.|
