Statistics, partial derivatives; line integrals, multiple integration, vector calculus;
revision of ordinary differential equations, Fourier series, Laplace transforms; partial
differential equations; matrix algebra and eigenvalue problems.
Learning Outcomes
- introduction to topics in geometry, vector calculus, differential equations and linear
algebra with emphasis on their implementation in engineering applications;
- to develop and exercise skill in developing models of physical phenomena and to become
familiar with standard techniques for solving associated mathematical problems.
