an applicable postgraduate Masters programmes within the College of Business, Law,
and Governance. LB5520 is a work-integrated learning (WIL) subject that facilitates
the connection between theory and practice. The subject provides students with an
opportunity to advance and apply knowledge and understanding gained in their studies,
and to develop their graduate attributes in the context of a professional work environment.
The subject consists of a supervised project/internship undertaken in an area related
to the student's field of study (e.g. management, conflict resolution, or governance).
Students are required to complete a minimum of 100 hours of supervised work in an
approved industry workplace, working on tasks and activities that are relevant to
their studies and skills level. Students are required to self-source their internship/project

as a clearly defined project in the student's current workplace. In each case, students
work with the project/ internship supervisor and an academic supervisor in deciding
upon a project/internship, planning the project/internship, and its execution. Students
cannot self-enrol, but must apply and be granted permission to enrol in the subject.
