Students will explore the differences in the ways that business and the political
economy are interrelated in some of the major trading economies. The post-World War
II transformations of these economies are discussed, particular as it relates to the
differential outcomes for each economy. In particular, business/government relations
and the political economic choices made since Bretton Woods are a core of the class.
Learning Outcomes
- critically analyse complex business-related knowledge and practice from both historical
and recent perspectives;
- apply creative and innovative thinking effectively to business theory and practice;
- present complex business analyses and information appropriately to differing audiences
using clear and fluent communication.

- Written > Examination (centrally administered) - (40%) - Individual
- Oral > Presentation 1 - (20%) - Individual
- Written > Briefing paper - (40%) - Individual.
