This subject's aim is to equip students with the support to develop research skills
and design and conduct a research study relevant to their area of interest. In particular
students will develop skills in undertaking research and the presentation of results
in both a written and seminar format. Students will also learn about ethical research
and good clinical practice as it relates to the conduct of their research.
Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate an understanding of your research area;
- Develop skills in verbal and written research presentations;
- Apply the processes involved in developing a research proposal, reviewing literature,
conducting the research and disseminating the outcomes;
- Appraise ethical conduct as it relates research practice.
Subject Assessment
- Oral > Presentation 1 - (20%) - Individual
- Written > Thesis/dissertation - (80%) - Individual
- Written > Project plan - (%) - Individual.
