HS5604 - Health Service Evaluation 2

Students enrolled in this subject will conduct a health service evaluation based on the proposal they developed in the previous subject, Health Service Evaluation 1. This will included demonstration of ability and skills to collect information, analyse, and interpret findings to draw conclusions. Students will disseminate the findings of their evaluation in expert ways which are appropriate to a specialist and non-specialist audiences. This will include provision of recommendations which inform clinical or service related decision making at a local level.

Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrate, at an advanced level and using research evidence, the ability to complete a health service evaluation;
  • Synthesise and interpret the findings of the evaluation expertly and autonomously by employing analytic skills to draw logical inference and conclusions;
  • Communicate the findings of the health evaluation using expert written, oral, and visual presentation skills.

Subject Assessment

  • Oral > Presentation 1 - (40%) - Individual
  • Written > Research report - (60%) - Individual.

Special Assessment Requirements

Passing requirements: complete and submit all assessment items; achieve a cumulative score of at least 50% inclusive of any penalties applied; pass every assessment item.
