ED5305 - Negotiated Project

The purpose of this subject is for students to design a project that aims to improve or transform an area of learning and teaching in higher education. Projects can be presented using a variety of formats and the topic, purpose, outcomes and deliverables for the project will be negotiated with the subject coordinator. The subject encourages institutional, national and international networking with colleagues within the specific area of teaching and learning interest. Assessment in this subject, as for all subjects in the Graduate Certificate of Education (Academic Practice), will be graded as satisfactory or unsatisfactory.

Learning Outcomes

  • critically analyse and synthesise research and relevant data to articulate the rationale for the project;
  • communicate proposal ideas clearly and coherently to relevant audiences;
  • identify local and global networks that endorse and enhance the project outcomes and the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Subject Assessment

  • Written > Project report - (70%) - Individual
  • Written > Proposal - (30%) - Individual.
Prerequisites: ED5300, ED5301 AND ED5304
