Learning Outcomes

  • knowledge of the architectural principles and performance characteristics of layers 2, 3 and 4;
  • analyse security issues and exploits at layers 2, 3 and 4;
  • characterise performance problems at layer 4;
  • understand implications for ICT of proposed revisions and extensions of internet architecture.
